Our New Patient Examination is a thorough evaluation of all the factors important for dental health, not just the teeth. We will carefully examine the head, neck and oral cavity for signs of cancer or another disease; evaluate the head and neck muscles and the temporomandibular joints; evaluate the health of the supporting gum and bone structures; examine the condition of the teeth and existing restorations, and thoroughly evaluate the bite and proper function of the dental occlusion.
Modern digital x-rays allow us to diagnose problems in areas that cannot be seen, using negligible radiation exposure. Early detection allows problems to be corrected, minimizing damage to the tooth. Digital photography presents the patient with the opportunity to view their teeth in detail, enabling them to be informed and involved in the treatment decision.
A dental crown, sometimes called a ‘cap,’ covers the entire tooth adding strength to a compromised tooth. This may be indicated if the tooth has extensive decay, large existing fillings or extensive wear, a crack or fracture, or has previously been treated with a root canal. Modern materials can mimic the look and feel of natural teeth. We can help you choose the best material for strength, beauty and longevity.

A brighter, whiter smile can make a dramatic improvement to appearance. One of the most cost-effective ways to achieve this is through whitening. With both in-office and take-home options, we can help you get the best results possible.
Neuromodulators, when used as part of a comprehensive dental care plan, can be used to temporarily minimize wrinkles and change the function of some muscles of facial expression. Our initial approach to Botox treatment is ‘low and slow’ to maintain a natural-looking result.
A natural, unrestored tooth is stronger and longer lasting than any restoration. Preventive care is the foundation for lifelong oral health. Regular hygiene and recall exams help to keep the teeth and gums healthy while allowing us to spot any developing problems.
Composite and ceramic restorations provide a lifelike, natural repair for a tooth with a cavity or failing filling.
Titanium dental implants are usually the preferred option for replacing missing teeth. With proper planning and careful placement, they can be very predictable and long-lasting. We work closely with select surgeons with extensive training and experience for the best possible outcome.
Ceramic veneers are thin, durable ‘facings’ that are bonded to the front surface of anterior teeth. These can cover misshapen, discoloured or chipped teeth, mask minor crowding, and help fill small spaces where the teeth are too small.
Temporomandibular Dysfunction is a broad term for painful disorders of the Temporomandibular joint and/or the supporting muscles. There are many possible causes for TMD, and sometimes a combination of factors can make the diagnosis challenging. Dr. Adams has taken extensive continuing education in this area, and our goal is to help you return to comfort and function.
